The time as I write this is 6:30am, Sunday morning, 24th May.

Well, what can I say? I’m at a fork in the road: buy another Mac Pro, which is not cheap, or carry on doing the four-hour round trip twice every time my Mac needs looking at. Hmm...

I collected my computer on Friday 22nd (another four-hour trip), and it’s not right, so it has to go back (another four-hour trip). The soonest I can drop it off is Wednesday 27th May, and then, whenever it’s ready, I need to pick it up (another four-hour trip). Fingers crossed it’s fixed.

While I’m thinking this through, I’ve been looking at replacing my Mac Pro with a Mac Studio — much more modern, a lot smaller, and cheaper — but will it cope with the load of SLLR okay? That’s what I’m looking into while I boil in a bag of frustration. The problem with feeling frustrated by the situation is that I could do something stupid, like spend a bunch of money I don’t have on something that won’t cope with the load on a Sunday.

Anyway's, that’s my world at the mo. I’m sure it’ll come good at some point; I just need that “some point” to get a move on and arrive.
